North Broward Hospital District Swears in New Commissioners

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – On Wednesday, January 29, the North Broward Hospital District (NBHD) officially welcomed Rocky Rodriguez and Darryl L. Wright to its Board of Commissioners. Current NBHD Chairman David Di Pietro was appointed to a new district.
“These distinguished businessmen are dedicated to the well-being of our patients and the community,” said Broward Health CEO Frank Nask. “I look forward to their leadership as we move forward with our mission to deliver world-class healthcare to all.”
Rocky Rodriguez, 68, of Fort Lauderdale, is a realtor with BHG Commercial Real Estate. He is the current president of the Broward County Substance Abuse Advisory Board and was past chairman of the board of Hispanic Unity of Florida. Rodriguez graduated from the Gold Coast School of Real Estate. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning December 20, 2013 and ending July 13, 2015. Darryl Wright, 44, of Fort Lauderdale, served in the United States Army from 1991 to 2013 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He is a member of the Military Officers Association and the American Legion Post 222 in Oakland Park. Wright received his bachelor’s degree from Rider University. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning December 20, 2013 and ending June 29, 2017. Wright represents District 7. Read his full biography HERE.
In addition, current North Broward Hospital District Chairman David Di Pietro was appointed to a new district. Previously representing District 3, Di Pietro is now representing District 6. Di Pietro, 33, of Oakland Park, is the founder and president of Di Pietro Law P.A. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University. His new term began on December 20, 2013 and ends June 27, 2017.
